Browse our stock of used lattice boom and telescopic crawler cranes from leading manufacturers, Liebherr, Manitowoc, Demag, Kobelco — available for inspection and delivery throughout the UK.

Types of Crawler Cranes We Supply

Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes

Lattice boom crawler cranes remain the preferred choice for high-capacity heavy lifting across major UK infrastructure and energy projects. Their lattice boom design delivers exceptional lifting capacity and long-radius performance, making them suitable for complex lifts where reach and stability are critical.

One of the main advantages of a lattice boom crawler is its modular boom system. Boom sections can be transported separately and assembled on site, allowing contractors to mobilise larger cranes efficiently for demanding projects across the UK.

These cranes are commonly used on:

  • Nuclear new-build projects including Hinkley Point and Sizewell
  • Major bridge and infrastructure construction
  • Offshore wind tower erection
  • Port and marine construction works

We regularly supply used crawler cranes from leading manufacturers including Liebherr LR series, Manitowoc, Demag CC series, and Kobelco. For a detailed overview of crane configurations and applications, see our guide to what is a lattice boom crane?.

Telescopic Crawler Cranes

Telescopic crawler cranes combine crawler mobility with fast crane set-up times. Unlike lattice boom cranes, telescopic models can typically be deployed without assembling multiple boom sections or fly jibs, helping contractors reduce mobilisation time on fast-moving projects.

These machines are widely used for:

  • Industrial plant maintenance
  • Precast concrete installation
  • Repetitive lifting operations in confined urban sites
  • General infrastructure and utilities work

In the UK market, telescopic crawler cranes are frequently specified for petrochemical facilities, pharmaceutical construction projects, and urban infrastructure upgrades where site access can be restricted.

Popular models include the Tadano GTC series, Liebherr LTC cranes, and Sennebogen telescopic crawler cranes.

Duty Cycle / Dragline Crawlers

Duty-cycle crawler cranes are designed for continuous heavy-duty applications beyond conventional lifting. These machines are commonly configured for clamshell excavation, dragline work, piling operations, demolition projects, and marine civil engineering.

Within the UK market, duty-cycle crawlers are regularly used on large-scale groundworks, quay wall construction, port redevelopment, and specialist infrastructure schemes.

Omnia Machinery can source duty-cycle crawler cranes and specialist rigging configurations on request, depending on project requirements.

Why UK Contractors Buy Crawler Cranes from Omnia Machinery

Omnia Machinery supplies used crawler cranes to contractors, lifting specialists, and civil engineering firms throughout the UK and international markets. Our stock regularly includes machines from leading manufacturers such as Liebherr, Manitowoc, Demag, Kobelco, Tadano, and Sennebogen.

We understand that UK buyers require more than just machine availability. Available LOLER examination records, service history documentation, load charts, and operator manuals can be supplied where available to support procurement and compliance requirements.

Our global sourcing network allows us to offer competitive pricing compared with traditional UK dealer channels. Buyers can access a wider range of crawler crane capacities, boom configurations, and specialist lifting equipment without long manufacturer lead times.

Our dedicated crane sales team can also assist with transport planning, UK delivery arrangements, and project-specific machine requirements. Whether you require a 50-tonne telescopic crawler or a high-capacity lattice boom crane for infrastructure work, we can help identify suitable equipment for the application.

Popular Crawler Crane Brands

We supply used crawler cranes from many of the industry’s leading manufacturers, including:

  • Liebherr
  • Manitowoc
  • Demag
  • Kobelco
  • Tadano
  • Sennebogen
  • Link-Belt
  • Terex

Available lifting capacities typically range from 50 tonnes to more than 3,000 tonnes, depending on crane configuration and availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What LOLER documentation comes with a used crawler crane?

Used crawler cranes supplied by Omnia Machinery may include LOLER thorough examination certificates, load chart documentation, operator manuals, and available service history records.

Under LOLER 1998 regulations, lifting equipment used in the UK must undergo thorough examination by a competent person at specified intervals. Where documentation is available, it will be supplied with the crane.

We also recommend arranging a pre-purchase LOLER examination through a UK-approved competent person before the crane enters operational service.

What lifting capacity crawler cranes do you stock?

Our crawler crane stock typically ranges from 50-tonne machines through to cranes exceeding 800-tonne lifting capacity, with larger specialist units available on request.

In the UK lifting market, crane capacity is always rated at a specified working radius and boom configuration. Buyers should refer directly to the crane’s load chart to confirm lifting performance for the intended application and site conditions.

Can you deliver a crawler crane to a UK project site?

Yes. Omnia Machinery can arrange delivery of crawler cranes to project sites throughout the UK.

Crawler cranes are normally transported in multiple loads, with boom sections, counterweights, crawlers, and the carbody moved separately to comply with UK transport regulations. The crane is then reassembled on site prior to commissioning.

For larger crawler cranes, abnormal load permits and route planning may be required for UK road transport. We also recommend that an experienced erection supervisor is present during assembly and commissioning on site.
